Ontario Int’l Airport

Ontario International Airport (ONT) is one of Southern California's fastest-growing airports, serving millions of passengers each year with domestic and international flights. ONT connects travelers to destinations around the world while serving as a major gateway to the Inland Empire.

Video Storytelling

ONT Social Vids

Airports aren't exactly known for entertaining social media, so the challenge was to create content that made people stop scrolling while showcasing everything ONT had to offer. From employee spotlights and behind-the-scenes stories to holiday videos, parking promotions, and playful series inspired by pop culture, the goal was to give travelers a reason to connect with the airport before they even booked a flight.

I planned, filmed, edited, and published dozens of short-form videos across ONT's social channels, experimenting with different storytelling styles to keep the content fresh and engaging. Some videos featured airport employees and their day-to-day roles, while others highlighted the airport's therapy dogs, celebrated holidays, or put a fun spin on traveler interactions. By blending authentic storytelling with humor and creative concepts, the videos helped grow ONT's online presence while giving the airport a personality that stood apart from larger competitors like LAX.

ONT Passenger Maps

Following a complete rebrand, Ontario International Airport needed a new family of printed maps that reflected its updated identity while making it easier for travelers to navigate the airport. With new concessions, evolving terminal layouts, and visitors unfamiliar with ONT, clarity was just as important as aesthetics.

I designed a series of tear-off maps for both Terminal 2 and Terminal 4, along with a local attractions guide and an illustrated airport overview. Using ONT's vibrant visual identity, I created clean, intuitive layouts that clearly identified airline locations, amenities, terminal connections, and nearby destinations. The result was a set of traveler-friendly resources that simplified navigation while extending the airport's refreshed brand into the passenger experience.

Brand Identity

ONT Paw Squad

When ONT refreshed its brand, its beloved therapy dog program needed an identity that felt just as welcoming, memorable, and modern. I was tasked with reimagining the program from the ground up, creating a brand that would delight travelers while seamlessly fitting within ONT's new visual identity.

I developed the ONT Paw Squad name, logo, color palette, and supporting brand system, then extended the identity across handler apparel, dog bandanas, trading cards, signage, stickers, and promotional materials. I also photographed each therapy dog, creating a growing image library that became the foundation for social media campaigns, airport advertising, videos, and environmental graphics throughout the terminals. What began as a simple rebrand evolved into one of ONT's most recognizable guest experience programs, giving passengers a memorable connection to the airport long after their trip.

Creative Direction

ONT Instagram Overhaul

After ONT introduced a new brand identity, the social team saw an opportunity to completely rethink its Instagram presence. Instead of posting traditional airport photography, we wiped the account clean and rebuilt it from scratch with a bold, curated visual strategy designed to stand out in a sea of predictable travel content.

I art directed and photographed the new Instagram grid, capturing aircraft from unexpected angles, abstract close-ups, colorful liveries, and graphic compositions that turned aviation into art. I also created custom kaleidoscope imagery using my own photography to add an unexpected visual twist. The feed was intentionally organized by color and designed to encourage interaction, inviting aviation enthusiasts to guess aircraft details and identify airlines from each image. The result was a one-of-a-kind Instagram experience that earned enthusiastic feedback from employees, travelers, and the aviation community while giving ONT a visual identity unlike any other airport. Sometimes the best way to stand out isn't by showing more airplanes—it's by helping people see them differently.

ONT Photography

Behind every campaign was an ever-growing library of original photography. Over the course of my time at ONT, I captured more than 15,000 photographs, documenting nearly every aspect of the airport—from aircraft, employees, and therapy dogs to restaurants, events, signage, marketing campaigns, and passenger experiences.

Rather than relying on stock imagery, I built a visual library that gave the marketing team authentic, on-brand photography for use across social media, advertising, environmental graphics, print collateral, and digital campaigns. Whether photographing the excitement of takeoff or the quiet details travelers often overlook, my goal was always the same: capture the personality of the airport and tell its story through thoughtful, engaging imagery.
